Ungeschminkt, nicht bunt, wie gerupft, als wäre sie gerade aus dem Bett aufgestanden – diese verwelkte Distelblüte – und dennoch wirkt sie schön und  fragil, die Tage zuvor noch in voller Blüte stand.

Unvarnished, not colorful, teared to shreds, like she was stand up from the bed – this withered thistle – and however it appears wonderful and fragile, that was in full bloom days before.
